In order to minimize the risk of infection during ongoing operations, further massive operational restrictions would now be necessary, which we cannot afford in this form," said Wouter Dekkers, General Manager of Tropical Islands. "We also want to send a signal that we are not underestimating the seriousness of the situation."
The decision to suspend business operations was taken in close consultation with the responsible authorities in Brandenburg and the district of Dahme-Spreewald, who respect and welcome this decision.
All guests who have booked an overnight stay at the Tropical Islands Resort during this period will be contacted personally. Any payments already made will be refunded. Booked day tickets remain valid. Further information will be published soon on the Tropical Islands website.
